The Kindness of the True Nature

Give the kindness you expect

In the philosophy of Simplicity, few principles are as essential (or as frequently misunderstood) as kindness. Society conditions human beings from childhood to practice a performative, script-driven warmth. This is subjective kindness, a superficial reaction filtered through societal prejudices, emotional conditioning, personal preferences, and the self-serving expectations of the ego. Subjective kindness selects who is “deserving” of goodwill, demands reciprocity, and turns cold the moment its expectations are breached. To walk a genuine spiritual path, our goal must be something far clearer and infinitely more powerful: objective kindness.

Objective kindness is not an emotional performance; it is an act of clear perception. It begins with an unshakeable recognition of truth: every form of sentient life is a direct, living manifestation of Spirit. The person standing before you, regardless of their background, beliefs, or behavior, carries the exact same divine spark that animates your own body. When you perceive the world through this lens, kindness ceases to be a transactional favor or a polite habit. It becomes an organic, logical response to reality. You do not offer kindness because someone has earned it; you offer it because sentient life is intrinsically bound to Spirit. To withhold kindness out of bias or prejudice is to allow the static of the small self to cloud your view of the universe.

To practice objective kindness, one must operate from the objective mind rather than emotional reactivity. The small self thrives on personal offense, historical grievances, and quick judgments. When met with hostility or ignorance, the small self instinctively demands retaliation, seeking to defend its borders by projecting damage back out into the world. However, retaliating or inflicting harm solves nothing. It merely doubles the friction in the physical timeline, polluting your internal vessel and deepening the world’s static. The objective mind observes reality as it is, stripped of personal ego. When you encounter someone spewing hate, ignorance, or spite, objective reasoning allows you to evaluate the situation clearly. You perceive a simple fact: this individual is not acting in accord with their True Nature. They are caught in the suffocating atmosphere of their own small self, disconnected from the reality of Spirit.

Recognizing that someone is out of alignment does not mean you must become a martyr, accept abuse, or force a confrontation. Objective kindness is never blind, passive, or foolish. If your objective mind observes that a person is committed to hostility, it is entirely appropriate to walk away. In fact, choosing to disengage quietly and ignore the hate is a profound act of kindness informed by facts and unbiased observation. By walking away, you refuse to feed the flames of their hostility, sparing both vessels from useless conflict. You protect the peace of your own mind while honoring the other person’s right to navigate their own path, even if they are currently lost in ignorance. You walk away without malice, judgment, or the need to punish them, leaving the door open for reality to teach them what you cannot.

Kindness is never a one-way drain on your energy. Because all life is interconnected through Spirit, every output of genuine frequency reverberates back into the vessel that released it. Kindness is a balm for the one giving it, just as much as it is for the one receiving it. When you choose objective kindness over egoic reaction, you clear your own mind of toxicity. You break free from the heavy, defensive armor of the small self and align your consciousness directly with the quiet strength of Spirit. By treating the world as a manifestation of the divine, you cease to be a victim of circumstances and become a conscious, stabilizing force within existence.
